Education
There is much information about iboga, ayahuasca and other ethnobotanicals on the web which lacks objectivity. At ICEERS, our main goal is to bring objective information to the attention of the scientific community, policy makers and the general public. This is an essential step towards the acceptance of these botanicals as therapeutic tools in contemporary society, as well as an increased awareness of the importance of the preservation of the traditional cultures that have put these plants to use for centuries.
One picture is worth a thousand words...
If one picture is worth a thousand words, imagine 25 pictures per second...
That’s why our main vehicle to bring our information across is audiovisual media. Film is a very efficient method of communication, and can turn the audience into first-row witnesses of profound human processes, like the ones that people experience through the use of the ethnobotanicals we focus on. We produce documentaries, conference registrations, trailers, mission statement videos, etc.
The Internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow...
At ICEERS, we believe that an organization’s objectives must be just as effective as the strategies it develops for reaching its target audience. Therefore, in an effort to maximize our social contributions, our primary infrastructure is the Internet with its social networks, forums, blogs, etc. You can help us by sharing information through your social networks.
Aside from audiovisual media, our activities in this field include writing and distributing scientific articles and press releases, setting up campaigns, doing public interviews and conference presentations, organizing events such as conferences, training programs and grassroots activities.

Research
In order for contemporary society to reach a level of acceptance of the potential benefits, and have a clearer understanding of possible risks of these ethnobotanical tools, scientific studies conducted according to western standards are greatly needed.
ICEERS promotes research projects and collaborates with researchers and institutions to develop new clinical trials, follow-up studies and online surveys. We also intend to make newly gained knowledge from scientific studies accessible to a wider audience beyond the scientific community. This includes government institutions, policy makers, etc.
Past research in which we have been involved consists of a long term ayahuasca follow up study and a pharmacological study into the metabolism of DMT in humans. To learn about our actual research projects, visit our news site.
Service
ICEERS offers different types of services through our Online Help Center. We provide a section on Questions & Answers and an orientation consultation with the aim of risk reduction and maximizing potential benefits. We also provide assistance in case of psychological or physical adverse events after ingestion, as well as psychological deepening in the preparation and integration process by providing a list of certified therapists that offer E-therapy. Furthermore, we offer legal support and scientific consultancy.
ICEERS aims to establish Multidisciplinary Service Centers collaboratively with professionals for the development of best-practice protocols and conducting scientific studies and training programs for therapists and doctors. The goal of these efforts is to serve the international community of those in need of support by making Applied Integrative Ethnobotanical Therapy available according to the highest professional standards and ethics in a legal way.
